About Us

My name is Lars Holm. I founded GradGift in 2020 during my PhD studies in Sweden.

During these years, friends around me graduated one by one. Some left cities, some left countries. Goodbyes were brief — often reduced to a message, a quick coffee, a hurried farewell before the next chapter began.

I wanted to mark those moments properly.
Not with something rushed, not with something that merely looked right — but with a gift that could carry respect, gratitude, and sincere wishes for what lay ahead.

Yet again and again, I found the same problem:
Many gifts looked right at first glance, yet lacked quality or thought in the details. And during the busy graduation season, there was simply no time to test, compare, and verify what was actually worth giving.
So I decided to create a place where that work would already be done.
GradGift is my answer to that.

What We Stand For

We focus on high-quality gifts, with special care for graduation moments.

Every item we offer is chosen with one question in mind:
Would this feel right to give to someone who truly matters?

We believe a good gift should feel calm and confident — not loud, not excessive, but honest and well-made. Something that speaks when words fall short.

Our Team

Over time, GradGift has grown alongside a circle of independent designers.

Together with their studios — from Takaoka, Japan, to southern Europe in Eprius, Greece, and including our studios in Sweden — we create pieces that bring care, quality, and meaning to moments of farewell.

Each one reflects a shared respect for how goodbyes deserve to be marked.

"To mark the end of one journey, and the beginning of another."

— Lars Holm, founder & CEO

Rooted in Europe

GradGift is rooted in Europe, where care, quality, and responsibility shape everything we do.

With every order, we contribute to reforestation efforts across the continent in partnership with Life Terra, supporting the environments that influence our values and aesthetics.

Each purchase reflects a quiet connection between thoughtful making and nature.
